Human rights due diligence
We commit to conducting human rights due diligence to secure that our operations, products, strategic and day-to-day decision making, and our business relationships do not harm individuals or communities. In January 2022, we updated our Inter IKEA Group policy on human rights following an Inter IKEA Group-wide human rights baseline assessment. Our new policy has been approved by the Inter IKEA Group Management Board. In our policy, we state that we are fully committed to:Respecting international human rights standards wherever we operate. We continuously work to embed international standards described in the UN Bill of Rights, the Fundamental ILO Conventions and the OECD Guidelines for Multinational Enterprises across our Inter IKEA Group code of conduct, internal policies as well as IWAY, our supplier code of conduct and IConduct, our franchisee code of conduct. When national law conflicts with international human rights we will seek ways to honour international human rights principles and standards while staying legally compliant.
Embedding respect for human rights across our commitments, ambitions, steering documents, business processes, strategic initiatives, decision making, ways of working and business relationships.
Continuously and proactively identifying how our business activities and decisions may negatively impact human rights.
Addressing our negative human rights impacts in a way that is effective and meaningful to affected rights holders.
